Terms of Service (draft)

Eligibility

OnePlusOne is for adults 18 or older who do not have living biological children and are not parents of living children adopted as their own outside a family caregiving arrangement. A living biological child counts regardless of age, custody, residence or level of contact.

People whose children have died are welcome. They do not have to disclose their loss to other members. Caring for or legally adopting a sibling, niece, nephew or another relative does not automatically disqualify someone.

Members may or may not want children in the future. This does not affect eligibility. All members must represent their circumstances truthfully.

Some adoption and guardianship situations still need a separate review before these terms are finished. The public explanation is also on Help.

Account accuracy

Be truthful about eligibility. Use accurate age, photos and profile details.

Membership in a launch city

First Light is for the first 50 eligible verified members in a launch city. Membership is complimentary for the life of that account. There is no monthly membership fee. The benefit ends if the account is deleted or terminated under the Terms.

Early Risers is a one-time $10 purchase for the next 150 eligible members in that launch city after First Light. Membership lasts for the life of the account, without a recurring membership fee. If the account is deleted, this benefit is permanently forfeited. Purchases are subject to store policies and applicable law.

After those places, membership is $7 per month. The subscription renews automatically until it is canceled through the app store. There is no free trial.

A First Light or Early Risers benefit is forfeited permanently when the account is deleted. It is not restored automatically on a new account. The same forfeiture applies if the account is terminated under the Terms.

Store subscriptions

Deleting a OnePlusOne account does not cancel an active subscription or stop billing. The member cancels separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

To cancel a recurring subscription, open the Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings and select OnePlusOne. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions. Canceling a subscription does not itself delete the OnePlusOne account.
